Game Summary: It was all Beaver all the time in Game 3 of the Island City Tournament. The Beavers had a 14-1 lead after two innings, and tacked on 10 more in the sixth for good measure. Adam Bielmeier went 5 for 6 with 6 RBIs on the day and a double. Beau Bergstrom stayed hot, tripling and doubling on the day. Tommy Zappa, Vaughn Waite, Brady Rose, and Saywer FollansbeeDelong had two hits as well, with four other players getting at least one "safety." Sam Clark got the win, pitching effectively through four innings. He had a rough fifth inning in which he surrendered five runs, but had good control in very windy conditions... walking nobody on the day. The Beavers win the tournament and enter the final regular season week of the year with a 12-8 record. |
