Game Summary: Cumberland visited Frederic for a non-conference game, and the outcome was never in doubt. The Beavers batted around in the top of the first, banging out four hard base hits and scoring five times. 3B Sam Clark led off with a solid single, followed by a RF Tommy Zappa walk. 1B Mitch Blaser grounded hard to shortstop, moving the runners up. DH Mike Forster singled hard to CF, scoring Clark. CF Brady Rose drew a walk. LF Sawyer FollansbeeDelong doubled, knocking in two runs. SS Nolan Scheps followed it up with a hard single, driving in two more runs. 2B Graham Severson grounded out to 3B, and C Beau Bergstrom grounded out to 2B to end the inning.

Starting pitcher Graham Miller was in mid-season form. He would pitch three scoreless innings, allowing two harmless singles, and struck out seven while walking just won Viking to get the eventual victory.

The Beavers scored four more times in the 2nd, featuring another lead off single by Clark, a double by Zappa, and another 2 RBI single by Scheps.

Zappa and Blaser led off the third with consecutive singles, and eventually scored with the help of walks and shoddy Viking defense.

The Beavers scored one run apiece in the fourth and fifth to get a shortened 13-0 victory that lasted one hour and 50 minutes.

Solid defense, great pitching, and torrid hitting helped head coach Mark Fuller get his 399th career victory. The Beavers travel to Luck next Tuesday for another non-conference tilt.
